China Bowl Wine and Dine

Another fun evening wining and dining clients and staff on the second day of the SES conference.

This yearly dinner is always my highlight, with a chance to speak directly with clients and share thoughts and ideas about SES, SEO, SEM and the world.

Discussion highlights include:

--Bob, from Cupid, highlighting info on the radio marketing plan that has helped cupid.com grow rapidly, and creatively, in small to media markets with 'affiliate deals" with local radio stations that agree to promote cupid with unused inventory in exchange revenue share for sign ups with zip code targets.

--Monte, from Moniker, rolled in with his crew a bit late but always entertaining.  We discussed swapping vacation homes and noted that the SES show lacked a debate session which would be sure to entertain as well as educate.  Listen up Danny, debates are healthy and would really be quite a welcome fresh addition to the self serving sessions that tend to roll out the current agenda.

-- Melanie, from Inphonics (cellphone giant Wirefly among other brands), clarified that brain cancer and celll phones are not one and the same.  I also promised to visit her IT department when in NY for the Book Expo.

-- Paul, from CableOrganizer, shared his success story with us all that highlighted rapid growth in his niche area in the last few years, with his cable communication web site along with his powerwasher.  And thanks for the plugs for LifeTips Paul... appreciate your support.  And see you at the Book Expo in DC....

--  Ken, from The Company Store, discussed a few of the challenges with trying to move the mountain of IT developers that hold hostage the URL code and content admin, with disrespect for simply changes that could greatly improve the organic marketing success of the site.  I'll bet Ken moves the mountain however-- good luck!

-- Darren, from eyesave.com, showed up on Wed evening instead of Tuesday evening.  This was quite sad, and a mix up that I hope was not my bad, as Darren was shooting for 3 in a row, and was our first and only client attendee 3 years ago.  His presence was missed, and but we'll see ya in the fall.

And the food....the fried spinach was simply out-of-this-world.  And the family style asian fusion dishes, loud crowd and fun atmosphere keep us coming back for more.  Can't waite for anothere NYAd-Tech China Grill client gathering in the fall!

That's all for now, back to followup with about 150 followup prospects we met at the show.  Thanks for tuning in.
