Dear LifeTips Gurus,

It is with great pleasure that we announce the expansion of our services to valued writers like you with a new company called WriterAccess.com.

It offers a unique marketplace where talented writers can connect directly with clients for *paid writing assignments*.

There is no service fee for writers and the application and profile take only a short time to set up. Clients will reach out to you directly for quotes and proposals.

You will be immediately approved with your initial application so that you can begin creating your new profile, which will be available to all clients.

LifeTips continues forward as well, as we expect to accept more than 500 Gurus who are interested in the free book publishing service, the Site Guru Program, paid writing assignments and promotion to millions of monthly visitors.  It's not too late to apply for a niche that you're passionate about, and you'll receive recommendations and priority placement at WriterAccess.com if you are already a LifeTips Guru.

We look forward to helping you advance your career with paid writing assignments at WriterAccess.com. A whole new field of clients awaits you!

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, you can direct them to Amanda@LifeTips.com. Green Offenders Take Heed

by amanda smyth
10/24/2008 8:38:00 AM

LifeTips does not take too kindly to green offenders, as we do strive to maintain green responsibility in this workplace. Some of our dedicated workers ride Vespa's to work while most others take the T (Boston Subway). We never print emails and we produce LifeTips Radio, which highlights tips, businesses and guests who are going green in really great ways. We do what we can and look for ways to do it better every day.

We don't take kindly to offenders.

We recently ramped up our recycling program by investing in HUGE recycling containers (versus our puny ones that could never be found when needed.) So now, there is no excuse for not recycling cans, bottles or paper.

However, despite our new efforts, we've found that there is always one person hell bent on breaking the rules. This week, it was our editor, Jamison. Carolyn and I, upon closer inspection of his surroundings, found this soda can and various other recyclable items left in his regular trashcan. OH THE HUMANITY!

So we took it upon ourselves to settle the matter non-confrontationally.

Dear Site Gurus and Site Guru Applicants,

We are so excited to have you all on board and eager to join us! But sit tight and know that we will get to you a.s.a.p! We are also setting up blog traffic tracking tools for each and every site guru we assign, which also takes a little extra time. So thank you for your patience, we are thrilled to have such a fantastic and eager group of writers participating!

Site Managers!

by amanda smyth
9/26/2008 3:26:00 AM

Dear Gurus,

As we promised, the Site Manager Program is now live. We have several hundred sites that need a great guru manager to take them over for the  purposes of creating new content on them, editing or deleting existing content and blogging. You can even moderate the comments that appear on your site!

So if you are just dying to tell the world about your expertise in  fine wine, your tips for green living or your deep knowledge of auto  repair, drop me an email at Amanda@LifeTips.com and I will assign you whichever niche you choose. We recommend that each site manager post 20 new blogs/tips per month. We will not be editing or monitoring your work. The site is yours to work with.

As a site manager, only YOUR photo and profile will appear on this  site, making your work clearly visible to prospective clients.

Only one guru will be assigned to each niche, so email me quickly, first come, first served!

Also, we are hoping to set up ad revenue sharing for our site gurus, but this will be dependent on how much traffic goes through your site and how many unique ad clicks there are per month on your site. This will also not likely help you rake in the millions. You will however, be the master and commander of this site as you moderate comments, edit and delete old tips and create new tips/blog posts (20 per month.) This is a great way to showcase your knowledge and writing style and while it is not mandatory, it is a great outlet for our gurus who want to be more involved!

Site Gurus...UNITE!

by amanda smyth
9/23/2008 12:04:00 AM

Hey Gurus!

True to what I promised, we have officially launched the Site Manager Program for our gurus. As a Site Manager, you will be the sole owner of any given tip site on LifeTips (only one site per guru, so choose carefully). Only YOUR photo will appear on the site page. You will moderate any comments on that page. You will edit or remove any existing content on that page. You will create new tips for that page, which will simultaneously show off your amazing writing skills for any prospective clients while improving the content and click-throughs on that site. You will post beautiful blogs and inspirational prose that will draw readers to your page. You will be the overlord of your domain, but please, be a kind a merciful overlord. You are now responsible for any and all content on that site, just don't let the power go to your head.

Thus! Henceforth! Hitherto! I declare it open season on Site Managing! A few sites have already been assigned, and they are going fast. Once a site is taken over by a Site Manager, that site is off the market. So, to stake your claim all you have to do is shoot me an email (Amanda@LifeTips.com) telling me who you are and which site you would like to manage.  Then you are off and running!

Wink

Don't let this happen to you.

Video Won't Kill This Radio Star

by amanda smyth
9/11/2008 7:07:00 AM

As most of you know, Byron White and I broadcast live weekly on WebMasterRadio.fm. The LifeTips Radio Show is a weekly show that promotes better living through eco-alternatives. And if you haven't heard our awesome little show, don't tune in expecting the same old eco-tips you've heard everywhere else. We know that you know all about recycling. But if you are a green guru looking to learn about eco-alternatives that you didn't know existed...eco-industries and businesses and people who are making waves and who are on the forefront of changing the world... then this is the show for you.

Next week we will be featuring Eco-Luxury. Did you know that sustainable Caviar is available and it's right in your local grocery store? Rich Baurman will be joining us next week from The Little Pearl in Nantucket and we are very excited to learn more about this new rise in eco-luxury and sustainable luxury resources.

And don't even get me started on the $100,000 electric Lambourghini-style car that Byron learned about on last week's show.  130mph is not a speed you'll see any other electric car reaching.

So tune in to WebMasterRadio.fm where you can hear us live at 4pm EST every week, as well as tuning in to all of our past shows. You never know what you might learn...or hear!

Weekly Job Board of Awesomeness

by amanda smyth
9/5/2008 8:24:00 AM

We've got some prime jobs available that are coming up very quickly, so keep your peepers open and your pens warmed up, Gurus!

We need an expert rock music writer. You need to know ACDC through ZZ Top. Quick! Give me the names of all of the members of Devo! What is Brett Michaels up to these days (aside from bad reality show competitions. Yeah, I watched both seasons of Rock of Love.) How much money are you willing to bet that Chinese Democracy never sees the light of day? ($5. It's a sucker bet, clearly.) Who is touring now? Who is planning a tour? Who's rider includes a helmet full of cream cheese?

Do you know the answers to all of these questions? I do. But since I am far too busy watching the pre-taping interviews of Rock of Love 3, I need an expert writer to write 20 articles or more a month for a top music site.  Got what it takes? Stay tuned.

Also, are you a sports fanatic? Not just Red Sox, I mean a serious sports fanatic. Does your fanatasism border on "intervention cadidate?" Does your family tell you that you won't find happiness inside of a foam finger? Oh what do they know anyway. They are all probably just vying for the remote to watch the True Hollywood Story of Britney Spears. We are willing to pay you for your knowledge of all things sports. We need a great tip/article writer who knows the "Great Bambino" through all things "Curling." Warm up your pen, get your little stadium seat ready and keep your eyes open for the sports writer assignment. Coming soon to a stadium near you.

Why Aren't There Very Many Jobs Listed?

by amanda smyth
7/8/2008 6:47:00 AM

Good Question. Blame it on the economy and pending recession. Blame it on the normal summer slump in business. Blame it on my bad breath and lack of "people skills." No matter which way you cut it, the job board has indeed been looking a little slim for the past few weeks. However, good news is on the way. The LifeTips Editorial Team has had a new wave of business pour in and it looks like jobs for you, our fantastic, bombastic, awesome-tastic writers, are on the up and up.  So keep your peepers open for new jobs headed your way. From private jets to Christmas decorating tips, we've got new writing assignments galore. So buckle up, get out your good writing pen, and keep checking the job board for new updates. Money mouth Until next time, try to stay cool
